Benefits

All employees working 40 hours per week are eligible to participate in all benefit plans subject to each benefit's specific eligibility requirements and waiting periods.

  • Medical: ikaSystems offers two medical plans through Harvard Pilgrim Health Care: an HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) and a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization). The HMO is available to those employees and eligible dependents based in the Massachusetts area, and the PPO is available to those employees who are not located in the Massachusetts area and/or those who have eligible dependents located outside of the Massachusetts area. For both the HMO and the PPO, the company pays 75% of the monthly premiums.

  • Vision: VSP's Choice Plan allows for vision coverage in and out of the VSP network.

  • Dental: Delta Dental's Premier plan allows employees and their eligible dependents to obtain services within the extensive Delta Dental network.

  • Life insurance: Through UNUM, our employees are provided with a life insurance benefit of 1.5 times their annual base salary, which is doubled in the event of accidental death.

  • Disability: Short- and long-term disability benefits are covered by UNUM and pay employees a percentage of their base salary in the event of a disability.

  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): Employees can save money by contributing pre-tax earnings to a medical FSA or dependent care FSA. Annual maximums are $2,000 for medical and $5,000 for dependent care.

  • 401(k): Employees are eligible to participate in ikaSystems’ 401(k) Retirement Savings Program offered through Fidelity Investments. The plan allows employees to contribute a percentage of salary on a pre-tax basis, to an annual maximum of $16,500. Those employees who are age 50 or older can contribute up to $22,000.

  • Paid time off (PTO): Employees accrue up to 18 days per year. After 5 years, employees will receive an additional 5 days of PTO per year.

  • Holidays: The company provides 10 holidays per calendar year.

  • Employee referrals: If we hire a candidate that is referred by one of our employees, ikaSystems pays the employee who submitted the referral $4,000 after the candidate has been employed for 6 months.
