Capital District Physicians' Health Plan, Inc. (CDPHP)
Selects ikaSystems' Total Business Solution for its Small and Large
Group Products
Capital District Physicians' Health Plan, Inc. (CDPHP) has entered
into an agreement to purchase ikaSystems' Web-enabled portals, and
is implementing ikaSystems' Sales and Admin Portal technology as a
total solution for its small and large group businesses. CDPHP
believes that the ikaEnterprise System is a proven, robust, and
feature-rich next generation Web portal system that will help
significantly reduce administrative costs and provide a competitive
advantage in the health insurance industry.
"We had originally thought of choosing a CRM vendor, but realized
immediately that implementing a CRM driven solution was similar to
the cart pushing the horse," explains Dave Henderson, senior vice
president marketing and chief marketing officer (CMO), CDPHP.
"ikaSystems' robust portal technology platform will connect our
health plan staff, brokers, employers, and members in real time, and
will simplify the entire small and large group sales and renewal
cycle. The system will streamline our business processes including
health insurance quote and proposal generation, plan selection,
application submission, medical underwriting, enrollment online,
renewals, e-billing, and membership management, and will provide our
underwriters extensive rating and rate maintenance capabilities."
"We also chose ikaSystems for their detailed knowledge of health
plan business processes and flexible implementation methodology,"
adds Henderson. "As a health plan widely known for its award winning
products and services, we seek to work with organizations that place
a similar value on quality and flexibility, as we do."
"ikaSystems has a proven track record in the managed care
marketplace. We streamline business processes through automation to
increase productivity and profitability and have done so with
success for many years," says Ravi Ika, President and CEO of
ikaSystems. "Using ikaSystems' portal technology CDPHP will also be
able to provide plans that are even more responsive, making it
easier for their brokers to sell to employer groups."
"Through the Sales portal, brokers will be able to access critical
information online in real-time and respond faster to customers'
needs to see dynamic views of health insurance options, which is
imperative for success in today's marketplace," adds Ika.
