January 04, 2010 ikaSystems Adds Industry Veteran Ian Belinsky to Executive Team as Chief Financial Officer

ikaSystems, a premier provider of enterprise-level Web-based technologies for the healthcare payer market, has made an addition to its executive team. Ian Belinsky, former chief financial officer of DentaQuest, will join ikaSystems in the same role.

ikaSystems experienced record growth in 2009, culminating in a significant investment of equity capital from Providence Equity Partners, LLC. “As we move forward in 2010, Ian will be an important contributor to the next stage of our growth,” said Ravi Ika, chief executive officer of ikaSystems.

Belinsky was previously chief financial officer at DentaQuest, one of the nation’s leading oral health companies, where he headed up its controllership, planning and analysis, underwriting, treasury and internal audit groups and served as a member of the executive team. During his tenure at DentaQuest, Belinsky initiated numerous performance measurement and improvement initiatives, including the expansion of functions designed to support and improve the executive team’s business decision-making and planning activities.

Prior to joining DentaQuest, Belinsky worked for Thomson Reuters as chief financial officer of a number of divisions, most notably of European operations (in London) for two years and ultimately of joint venture Omgeo, based in Boston. Belinsky also worked for KPMG Peat Marwick in Johannesburg, South Africa, and New York.

Belinsky is a Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor of accounting degree from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. In addition, he has completed numerous executive education programs, including attending INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
