History
ikaSystems is a member of the ikaGroup, companies that have been providing
software solutions and consulting services to Fortune 500 companies in the
commercial, government, telecommunications, insurance and financial
sectors since 1992.
In 1999, ikaGroup founder Ravi Ika, a young entrepreneur with an impressive track record in establishing successful new businesses, founded ikaSystems to offer e-commerce products and services to the insurance and financial service industries. The company’s first product was ikaBrokerage, a multi-carrier Web insurance mall that was implemented by Group One Source (GOS), a group insurance brokerage division of Lincoln Financial Group. ikaBrokerage is GOS’s exclusive e-platform, serving 15,000 groups with over $900 million of premiums in over 50 locations throughout the country. Mr. Ika and his team conducted in-depth research into the business processes of over 100 health plans across the country, then established ikaSystems to develop the truly innovative enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions that would address the industry’s growing demand for automation, reduced administrative and medical care expenses, and more accurate and precise medical intelligence. Several years of research and development combined with close partnerships with many insurers have given ikaSystems in-depth business knowledge in a wide range of state-of-the-art technology. Combining years of proven database development expertise with the latest Internet expertise, ikaSystems launched ikaEnterprise, an ERP system for managed care organizations, insurance carriers and third-party administrators. Today, ikaEnterprise continues to revolutionize the exchange of information among insurance carrier trading partners, brokers and agents, benefit administrators, members and hospitals. |
